Honey-Balsamic Mahi
Mahi is a popular fish down in Florida. Many restaurants often serve local Mahi.
Here’s an easy recipe you can create in your home.
Start with fresh mahi filets, place in a dish for marinating.
Mix together 3 Tablespoons each of balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey, and olive oil. Pour over mahi; cover and place in fridge for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, heat a stainless steel skillet to medium-high heat. Place mahi on dry skillet (reserve marinade!) and cook 3-5 minutes per side. Turn mahi once.
Remove mahi from skillet. Take reserved marinade and pour into skillet, cook on medium heat, adjust heat so marinade is bubbling. Stir for about a minute, marinade will thicken and turn into a glaze.
Pour glaze over mahi, cover for 5 minutes to lock in the flavor.
Serve mahi with brown rice and steamed broccoli.
What is your favorite way to cook fish at home?
This looks great, Pam. Great recipe.
I like fish at home when Ted cooks it outside on the BBQ. It tastes great, the house doesn’t smell bad and there’s less work for ME! 🙂
Thanks Joanne! We’ll be cooking fish on the grill soon once we’re all moved in.
