I am total foodie, so the first product I tried out was the ready made protein shake. This is great for on-the-go straight from the carton. I decided to make this smoothie with frozen berries and spinach for breakfast since I had a little extra time. I took a sip from the carton so I could taste the shake on its own and it was quite rich, creamy, and tasted great! Other carton protein shakes Ive had in the past were artificially flavored but Arbonne makes a better tasting protein shake thats good for you too. The protein base is rice and pea which are my preferred kind of protein. I shy away from soy and whey as they are harder to digest.
The nutritional profile is 180 calories, 4g fat, 17g carbs, 11g sugar, and 20g protein. The sugar is a little high, 4g of sugar equals 1 teaspoon, so this contains almost 3 teaspoons of sugar which is close to 1 Tablespoon sugar (3t = 1T). The sweetener of choice is sugar cane so its all natural, meaning less processed than corn syrup. Corn starch is used as a thickener, Im not a big fan of corn starch, I prefer to see xanthum gum.
Overall this is a good quality on-the-go protein shake, which also delivers 15% of several vitamins and minerals that contribute to the energy boost youll get from this product.
Heres my smoothie ingredients:
Delicious morning smoothie! Dont you just love chocolate in the morning
