Juicing With My Bestie
My best friend, Tracy, from high school came to visit over the weekend! She has successfully been losing weight with dietary changes which include juicing daily. She was inspired by the film, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead that helped Joe Cross lose weight and get off all his medications in 60 days. This movie is super inspiring! Check it out, if you have not seen it yet.
I was excited to learn that Tracy started juicing so I stocked up on lots of high quality organic ingredients including kale, swiss chard, parsley, beets, carrots, celery, apple, pear, strawberries, and collard greens. We made her favorite drink, Great Green Fruity Mix from Joe Cross’ reboot program recipes. That was a super refreshing and healthy juice.
Pictured below, Tracy in action making our own concoction of apple, strawberry, kale, carrot, and swiss chard. So much fun to juice together! I couldn’t have been happier to see my dear friend adding so many nutritious foods to her life! She’s feeling great, losing weight, and getting healthier every day. We headed out for a walk on the beach and to cool off in the spectacular South Florida ocean.
so happy for Ace soo jealous of you two.. much love… melissa.
We will all juice together when you come down to visit, I’m sure your kiddos will enjoy it! Looking forward to seeing you soon 🙂
Tracy looks great. It’s so nice you guys get to see each other once in a while.
Can you make your concoction w/out a juicer? Use a blender?
Yes you can use a blender, but you will have to chop everything into small pieces. The juicer will take a whole apple. The added benefit of the blender is you get all of the fiber as well. The blended juice will have some chew to it!
Juice made in the juice contains no fiber, very easy to digest and chock full of micro-nutrients that are easily absorbed.
Yes, I am also very proud of her. Soon she will be borrowing my size 2 clothing.
Griselle, Tracy is so lucky to have a great friend like you! You know she’ll buy some awesome new clothes and be willing to share with you too 🙂
we can go shopping for new clothes when we come down to visit!
By the way, Sam said he has made the “Green Monster” drink you introduced him to during your last visit, a regular part of his diet. He wanted to leave you a comment to let you know. Since he didn’t have the link (guess he doesn’t look on my site!),I thought I’d pass the message along.
Thanks Joanne, that made my day :)!
I love when people start adding healthy habits to their daily routine!!
