Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope you had a wonderful day with loved ones whether close friends or family!

It’s so important to take time to be with people. It seems like everything is within reach so easily with our phones that we can lose human connection in person. As someone who’s an introvert I enjoy being able to reach people with the phone but it’s definitely important to be face to face with our loved ones as often as we are able. Technology is a blessing but going back to old school is necessary for our well being too.

Parenting

Parenting is the most amazing gift! I’ll start there, I can’t imagine not being a parent, I never thought I would be a mom growing up, I was so insecure I couldn’t imagine raising another human being. After meeting then marrying my husband I really wanted to become a mom a few years in. Now our first daughter is almost 3 and we have another baby girl on the way!

There are so many challenges that come up, stay home to raise your babies, go back to work, hire help, when to send them to school. I’ve found along the way researching and talking to other parents, discussing with hubby of course, asking family members for advice and ultimately prayer and having faith we know what’s best for our family. I find myself worrying a lot and then figuring out the best path and often having to make adjustments along the way. Parenting is so humbling! There is no perfection in this and that is hard for a lifetime perfectionist. So it’s been a learning curve but much needed.

When the focus is doing right by your child, you’re doing the best that you can and that’s enough!
